Fiscal conduct
Fiscal conduct is our responsibility. Employees are obligated to comply with applicable law and university policies; and in all internal and external business dealings, UC San Diego employees are committed to principles of community along with:
- Carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to them
- Learning and abiding by applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, environmental health and safety policies, and professional standards and codes
- Complying with University policies, procedures and other guidance
- Avoiding real or perceived conflicts of interest of commitment, including those created by acceptance of gifts received from third parties
- Keeping confidential all private University information and records
- Ensuring that all accounting and financial records including expense reimbursements, time and attendance records and reports to governmental agencies are timely, complete and accurate
- Using University resources for legitimate University business
